What are the tax benefits of making a gift?As of 1 April 2008, gifts of money by New Zealand resident taxpayers to a charity receive exceptionally favourable treatment: namely a 33 1/3 % rebate on any gift (up to a limit of total net income for all gifts in a given tax year). For example, if a donor makes a gift of $3,000 it costs the donor only $2,000, once the $1,000 rebate is taken into consideration.

Can I include a gift to the Foundation in my Will?Yes. There are many ways in which a gift in your Will can help The Foundation well into the future. For more information, please contact us at info@thefoundation.org.nz

Will I receive a receipt for my gift?Yes. If you have made a gift online, you will receive your receipt via email once payment has been approved. If you have chosen to make a recurring monthly gift, you will receive a receipt at the end of the financial year.
